All Nexus partners gathered in Paris for the first Project annual meeting.
The meeting was hosted by Inorevia, the NEXUS partner that is pionering the automatisation and minituarisation of preanalytical handling and sample preparation for a wide range of state-of-art omics analyses.
In NEXUS project the utility of such technologies is piloted in EV biomarker detection, combined with frontrunner technologies in the area of nanoparticle detection (Iris Kinetics, Boston), conjugation chemistry (CNR, Milan). Day One (Rome) is guiding the venture development versus the productalisation of novel tools paving the way to EV based Prostate Cancer diagnostics, using the indications on biomarkers and clinical need from our clinical partner (UKLFR, Freiburg)
A part of the meeting was devoted to the monitoring of the progress of the project, discussing each work package in detail, before venturing into the definition of the future actions and developments. Afterwards, the team had the chance to visit the Inorevia facilities and enjoyed the Paris atmosphere over some excellent food and wine.
The meeting marked a needed milestone before the first year review that is due this week.
